Job Summary

Job Responsibilities:

  • To assist the Group Financial Controller in overall management of financial and accounting affairs of the Eden Group of Companies
  • Prepare consolidation workings for the Groups monthly quarterly annual financial results and annual budget.
  • Assist in preparation of quarterly financial results including financial statements and explanatory notes for submission to Bursa Malaysia ensuring accuracy completeness and compliance with the Listing Requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements notes to the accounts and disclosures in accordance with MFRS and the Companies Act 2016.
  • Perform intercompany reconciliations eliminations and group-level adjustments to ensure accurate consolidated reporting.
  • To prepare full set of accounts including P&L Accounts Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statements
  • To prepare monthly bank reconciliation statements
  • To prepare monthly and quarterly Management Report which include variance analysis financial projection
  • To manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivables well in accordance to the credit period received and given respectively
  • To perform treasury functions including fund placements loan repayments cash flow planning and execution
  • To liaise with financial institutions on banking matters
  • To provide the relevant input in the preparation of the Business Plan and Operational Budget
  • To ensure payments of bills according to the approved policies and procedures and in accordance with the priorities
  • To assist in the proper performance review of the half-yearly and annual audits by maintaining close liaison with external auditor and adhering to the predetermined audit schedules
  • To carry out duties as instructed by the superior from time to time
  • Assist in process improvements system enhancements and strengthening internal controls.
  • Provide support for ad-hoc analysis reporting requests and corporate exercise as required by Management.
  • To undertake other tasks and projects as may be assigned by the Group Financial Controller and / or the Management.

  • To perform related duties and special projects as assigned and other duties than the above as requested by the Management / the Company.

  • To maintain confidentiality when dealing with clients and other company employees.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Accounting
  • Finance or a professional qualification in ACCA/CPA or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in financial & accounting matters
  • Good knowledge in Financial or Business Planning Systems & Processes
  • Strong analytical skill
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good Planning and Organizing Skills
  • Meticulous patient stress tolerant persistent
  • Ability to analyze and design necessary changes to present financial processes
  • Ability to understand cause/effect of recommended business changes on financial results.


Required Skills:

Qualifications: Degree in Accounting mFinance or related discipline Professional qualification such as ACCA CPA CIMA or equivalent is preferred. Membership in MIA is an advantage subject to company policy. Minimum 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting with at least 3 to 5 years in a managerial or finance leadership role. Strong knowledge of financial accounting management reporting budgeting and internal controls. Good understanding of Malaysian financial reporting standards tax and statutory compliance requirements. Strong analytical problem-solving and business partnering capability. Effective communication and interpersonal skill. Good planning organization and report-writing skills. High integrity attention to detail and ability to work under pressure. Proficient in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
