Job Summary

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the comprehensive management of full sets of accounts and ensure complete tax compliance for regional entities (MY & SG).

  • Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers for both Malaysia and Singapore operations.

  • Manage the end-to-end Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable cycles.

  • Administer Malaysia e-invoicing processes ensuring all invoices are correctly generated submitted and validated.

  • Track AR aging reports and engage with clients to ensure timely collections.

  • Generate weekly reports summarizing accounts receivable status.

  • Facilitate and execute accurate payments to suppliers and vendors.

  • Perform regular bank account reconciliations.

  • Project monthly cash flow requirements through detailed forecasting.

  • Analyze and report on monthly shipment-level profitability.

  • Calculate and record month-end accruals for shipment revenue and operational costs.

  • Produce monthly financial statements and management reports.

  • Execute monthly reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts.

  • Update and oversee the companys fixed asset register.

  • Compile annual reporting packages for group-level consolidation.

  • File bi-monthly Malaysia Service Tax (SST) returns.

  • Submit quarterly Singapore GST filings.

  • Compute quarterly provisional income tax and prepare estimates for tax filings.

  • Collaborate with external auditors and prepare necessary audit schedules.

  • Work closely with tax agents to prepare schedules for corporate tax submissions.

  • Execute additional ad-hoc assignments as requested by management.



Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Accounting or a relevant professional certification (e.g. ACCA CPA).

  • At least three (3) years of professional accounting experience.

  • Mandarin-speaking is a MUST

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Proven track record in handling full-cycle accounting.

  • Competency in utilizing various accounting software and ERP systems.

  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Functional understanding of Malaysias e-invoicing framework.

  • In-depth knowledge of Malaysia Service Tax and Singapore GST.

  • Familiarity with corporate income tax regulations in both Malaysia and Singapore.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

  • Effective organizational planning and interpersonal capabilities.

  • Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.

Other Requirements:

  • A proactive disciplined and detail-oriented professional committed to high-quality output.

  • Prior experience working within a multinational corporation (MNC).

  • Background in the logistics or freight forwarding industry is a significant advantage.
