Job Summary
We are seeking a meticulous and technically proficient Accountant (Group Finance) to join a high-performing finance team. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller you will play a pivotal role in managing Group consolidation driving financial performance analysis and ensuring strict adherence to public listing requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional looking to influence reporting systems and support strategic decision-making within a global technology environment.
Job Responsibilities
Group Consolidation: Manage and execute the full spectrum of Group consolidation accounts for a public listed entity with accuracy and technical precision.
Financial Analysis & Reporting: Perform in-depth analysis of business unit and Group performance providing insightful commentaries and findings for EXCO and Board Papers.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Prepare and monitor comprehensive Group annual budgets including P&L balance sheets and cash flow projections while managing detailed variance analysis.
Process Optimization: Identify reporting gaps and spearhead the automation of finance operations to improve efficiency standardization and the overall quality of financial reporting.
Compliance & Statutory Liaison: Ensure strict adherence to MFRS Bursa Listing Requirements and other statutory regulations.
Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors tax consultants bankers and legal counsel to facilitate smooth financial and corporate operations.
Policy Development: Assist in formulating and refining accounting policies and procedures to strengthen internal controls and operational excellence.
Requirements
A Bachelors Degree in Accounting/Finance or professional qualification (e.g. ACCA CPA MIA).
Proven experience in handling Group consolidation for public listed companies (PLC).
Strong technical knowledge of MFRS and Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements.
Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
Highly organized proactive and capable of managing ad-hoc projects in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in financial reporting systems and a keen interest in process automation/system enhancement.
