The ideal candidate brings specialized experience in SSO and identity federation token-based authentication API gateway patterns EDI processing and the design of web-native replacement architectures for virtualized desktop environments. This person will produce a practical client-ready Citrix exit strategy and contribute rigorous integration architecture findings and recommendations across the broader platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Citrix exit strategy workstream assessing the current virtualized desktop access model and proposing web-based or non-virtualized alternatives with SSO-based authentication token-based access and a centralized landing page or menu system model
  • Evaluate current-state identity and access management patterns including authentication mechanisms authorization models elevated-access operational dependencies and session management
  • Design and document an SSO-based access architecture as the target-state replacement for the Citrix environment including identity federation options token issuance patterns and centralized access management
  • Lead the integration architecture workstream assessing inbound and outbound interfaces including EDI/820 processing upstream and downstream system dependencies synchronous and asynchronous patterns failure handling and coupling risks
  • Evaluate API gateway patterns in use or required including routing authentication enforcement rate limiting and observability at integration boundaries
  • Assess event-driven and message-based integration patterns including failure recovery and retry design
  • Contribute integration and identity findings to the Current State Assessment Recommendation Matrix and Remediation Roadmap

  • Demonstrated experience designing or assessing Citrix Parallels RAS or equivalent virtual desktop exit strategies and web-native replacements
  • Strong experience with EDI processing architectures and the integration patterns that support high-volume transactional data exchange
  • Experience with API gateway design centralized access management and integration boundary security
  • Strong understanding of synchronous and asynchronous integration patterns including event-driven messaging and failure recovery
  • Ability to present Citrix exit options with clear tradeoff analysis appropriate for client decision-making and approval processes
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce clear evidence-based architecture recommendations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Medicaid EDI transactions includingor equivalent financial and enrollment data exchanges
  • Familiarity with healthcare identity and access management requirements including HIPAA access controls and audit logging
