Job Summary
Senior Accountant oversees daily accounting operations prepares financial reports reconciles accounts and ensures GAAP compliance. Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial statements including balance sheets and profit & loss statements.
Month-End Close: Perform complex journal entries and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
General Ledger Maintenance: Ensure accuracy of financial data by verifying allocating and posting transactions.
Compliance & Tax: Assist with tax audits prepare tax returns and ensure adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements to accounting systems and procedures.
Supervision: Guide or manage junior accountants and bookkeepers.

Required Qualifications & Skills
Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or relevant field.
Experience: 5 years of accounting or finance experience.
Technical Skills: Expert knowledge of Excel accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks Enterprise) and ERP systems.
Certifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is strongly preferred.
Competencies: Strong attention to detail analytical skills and communication skills.

Required Skills:
Work experience as an Accountant. Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Hands-on experience with accounting software like FreshBooks and QuickBooks. Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables.
