Job Summary
Mail:- inSenior Accountant manages complex accounting activities including month-end closing financial reporting account reconciliations and general ledger maintenance ensuring compliance with GAAP regulations. They analyze financial data to guide forecasting mentor junior staff and assist with audits usually reporting to a Controller or CFO.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial statements performing variance analysis to identify discrepancies and financial trends.
General Ledger & Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts monthly and manage general ledger maintenance to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Compliance & Auditing: Ensure compliance with GAAP standards and coordinate internal/external audits by preparing necessary documentation.
Internal Controls: Develop and implement accounting policies and internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Leadership & Mentorship: Guide train and review the work of junior accounting staff and bookkeepers.
Process Improvement: Streamline accounting processes and recommend ways to reduce costs and enhance revenue.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the budgeting process and track performance against targets.

Required Qualifications and Skills
Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field.
Experience: Proven experience (typically 35 years) as a Senior Accountant Accounting Supervisor or similar role.
Certification: CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA is highly preferred.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. SAP Oracle QuickBooks) and advanced MS Excel skills.
Knowledge: In-depth understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and financial regulations.
Soft Skills: Strong analytical abilities organizational skills leadership skills and excellent communication
Required Skills:
Work experience as an Accountant. Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Hands-on experience with accounting software like FreshBooks and QuickBooks. Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables.
