Job Summary
Fabrication Engineer translates engineering designs into physical products managing the entire production process from materials selection to final assembly. They optimize manufacturing methods (such as welding cutting and shaping) maintain quality control standards and troubleshoot machinery to ensure efficient safe production.

Key Responsibilities
Production Planning: Review design blueprints and technical drawings (CAD) to develop detailed fabrication manufacturing procedures and sequencing.
Process Optimization: Choose appropriate materials and optimize fabrication techniques (e.g. sheet metal welding machining) to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Quality Control: Supervise technicians and oversee quality checks including non-destructive testing (NDT) to ensure adherence to safety standards.
Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Address issues in the production process and coordinate preventative maintenance for fabrication machinery.
Documentation: Maintain documentation for processes tooling and inspection records.

Required Qualifications & Skills
Education: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
Software Proficiency: Familiarity with CAD tools (e.g. SolidWorks AutoCAD).
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of metal fabrication methods manufacturing processes and materials science.
Soft Skills: High attention to detail strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under strict deadlines.
