Job Summary:
The M395 Stock Condition Surveyor - Interims is a temporary position for 12 months with a potential 6-month extension based at Charnwood Borough Council Loughborough.
The role involves conducting stock condition surveys reporting findings and supporting the housing planning regeneration and regulatory services team.
The position requires a flexible working pattern of 2 days remote and 3 days on-site.
A valid driving licence and access to a car are essential.
Key Duties/Accountabilities (Sample):
Conduct detailed stock condition surveys of council housing and associated properties.
Analyse survey data and produce comprehensive reports on property condition.
Advise on maintenance requirements and potential improvements.
Liaise with housing and regeneration teams to support asset management planning.
Ensure compliance with health and safety confidentiality and council policies.
Maintain accurate records and contribute to the development of housing databases.
Assist in planning and prioritising survey work within allocated schedules.
Skills/Experience:
Minimum 3 years experience in property condition surveying or similar roles.
Strong knowledge of housing stock condition assessments and asset management.
Analytical and reporting skills able to interpret data and present findings clearly.
Excellent communication skills for liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Proficient in property surveying software and Microsoft Office applications.
Valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations and regulatory compliance.
Experience working under confidentiality agreements and data protection standards.
Additional Information:
Bi-Weekly Payments.
Employment type: Temporary 52 weeks possible extension of 6 months.
Hours: 37 per week 2 days remote 3 days in office.
An enhanced DBS is required.
