Job Summary
Our client an international Logistics provider with offices all around the country and currently they have an opportunity at their Essex office based just outside of Basildon for a European Export Operator. The role will be dealing with European and UK Road freight Exports. You will be working within a large Export department being part of a wider team within the office Handling European groupage services.
Purpose of the role:
To manage the European Groupage Road freight operations from point of collection to final delivery
Duties will include:
Arranging movement of freight from origin to final destination both international and within the UK
Liaising with customers overseas partners and suppliers.
Calculating costs for customer
Working out charges
Updating the system.
Keeping customers updated with regards to their deliveries.
To be successful for the role you will need to have a good understanding of European road freight operations with good customer service skills. You will be
able to work in a team but also be self-sufficient and be confident with your own workload.
Monday to Friday - 9am-5pm.
Requirements
Experience required:
Experience within European Road freight operations
Understanding of taxable kilos.
Experience with EU Customs paperwork.
Previously experience of working within a freight forwarders
