Job Summary
We are working with an expanding organisation in Birmingham seeking a Customs Coordinator to join their team.
As a Customs Coordinator you will be the backbone of the international trade operations.
Responsibilities;
- Ensure the seamless flow of goods by managing the end-to-end import and export process with precision.
- Review and process import/export declarations ensuring all documentation aligns with current trade regulations and statutory requirements.
- Coordinate the daily movement of goods tracking shipments in real-time to provide accurate updates to internal stakeholders and clients.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customs authorities and external partners resolving queries and discrepancies swiftly
- Identify and troubleshoot logistical bottlenecks or documentation errors to prevent delays in the supply chain.
- Partner with warehouse and logistics teams to harmonize workflows and optimize transit times.
Requirements
Skills Required;
- Experience working within the logistics and freight industry
- Customs experience (not essential)
- Good attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills
