Co-op and Internship opportunities allow you to gain valuable work experience acrossseveralbusinesses at TD. JOB DESCRIPTION
You will have the opportunity to work with one of our various teams within the Technology group specifically working on TDs big data platform (Data-as-a-service or DaaS). Job responsibilities for aDataEngineerIntern/Co-op may vary by area. Theymay include butarenot limited to the following:
Apply Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Project Management Methodology (PMLC) to complete specific development tasks for projects
Ensure defect-free programming by testing and debugging usingavailable/appropriate toolsandparticipatein reviewing peer coding
Designdevelopand deploy system enhancements
Perform Unit and System Integration tests
Document system deployment plans for system implementationand code deployment
Participate in Proof-of-Concept (POC) onnew technologiesand document findings
Provide recommendations with full usability analysis
Perform root-cause analysis and resolution ofapplication defects
Adhere to standard security coding practices to ensure application is free of coding vulnerabilities
Continuously enhance knowledge/expertiseand keep current with leading-edge technologies trends/developments and developexpertisein TD services applications infrastructure analyticaltoolsand techniques that can contribute to effective solution development/delivery
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Currently enrolled inarelevanttechnology program such as Computer Science Engineering Information Technology Management Computing etc.
Familiarity with at least one of the following technologies: Java Scala PythonPyspark or SQL
Practical experience/knowledge ofdatagenerationdatamaskingdatasubsettingdataarchivingdatavirtualizationprojectmanagementmanagement reportingdata modellingand/ordatabasedevelopment
Test Data Tools Knowledge(CA TDM orDelphix)
Familiarity with source code management such as GIT
Familiarity with Jira and Confluence
A thirst for constantly exploring emerging technology
Skills that would be an assetbut not
FamiliaritywithRDBMS Big data
Familiarity with DataWarehousing ETL ELT concepts
Familiarity with PandasNumpyScikit-learnMatplotlb Ruby Linux
Interest or aptitude in Financial Systems and the FinancialIndustry
