MUST HAVE skills/experience
Strong knowledge of PL/SQL and T-SQL
Experience in Data Modelling using any designer tool Gap Analysis and MS Visio
Good understanding of Data Warehousing concepts and ETL processes
Ability to drive requirement sessions and meetings with various stakeholders
NICE TO HAVE skills/experience
Knowledge of banking domain including regular accounts customer data and transaction data across banking business processes
Experience with Sybase PowerDesigner for data modelling
Knowledge of Cloud technologies (e.g. Amazon AWS)
Determine operational objectives by studying business functions gathering information and evaluating output requirements and formats
Design analyze requirements and implement modifications
Define project requirements by identifying project milestones phases and elements and forming project teams
Monitor project progress by tracking activity resolving problems publishing progress reports and recommending actions
Provide references for users by writing and maintaining mapping documentation
Maintain user confidence and protect operations by ensuring information confidentiality
Prepare technical design and mapping documents by collecting analyzing and data profiling
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops
Work with business and technology teams to fulfill data requirements
Perform data modelling and prepare technical design documentation as per standards
Assess intake requests for new projects and change requests
Strong knowledge of SQL and ability to analyze data from different product systems
Analyze of Legacy System
For each use case analyze mapping documents of target tables to determine operational objectives by studying business functions gathering information and evaluating output requirements
Track target field mapping back to origin data elements in source systems
Perform data analysis and data profiling on legacy systems using strong SQL knowledge
For tables without mapping documents TSBI and ETL leads jointly analyze code to extract business rules and document requirements
L2 / L3 Model
Business team responsible for creation of L2 model supported by Project Business Analyst Solution Architect and TSBI
Collaborate with data scientists business analysts and IT teams to integrate L2/L3 models into the data pipeline
Mapping Design of New L2 / L3
Prepare technical design and mapping (Data Movement Model) for new L2 model with Project Business Analysts and Solution Architects
Review key-cutting process to be implemented on L2 model and obtain approval from L2 schema owners
Only BORT system data is populated into L2 schema; reference and tactical data consumed directly by L3 processes
L2 to L3 mapping includes business transformation rules for each target table
Custom surrogate key process implemented on L3 tables differing from L2 tables
One-off tables containing business data loaded into L3 schema for processing
Spearhead implementation of data governance policies and procedures ensuring compliance with industry standards reducing data security incidents
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data quality frameworks to improve accuracy and reduce errors
