We are looking for an entrepreneurial driven professional who has a proven track record of success in B2B enterprise account management but is hungry for more challenges and opportunities to grow.
In this role you will own protect and drive the expansion of our most valuable enterprise clients across key verticals including Fintech enablement banking solutions promotion/loyalty/incentives Gig Pay/Earn Wage Access and Real-time payments. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter a highly-motivated team player with high social intelligence and a natural relationship builder. You understand the value of deep account mapping multi-threading consultative cross-selling and executing Strategic Business Reviews (SBRs) for C-suite stakeholders. Job Description
As a Key Account Manager you will lead and participate in all aspects of the client lifecyclefrom driving core product adoption to closing new margin-rich expansion business within your portfolio. Your core responsibilities will include:
Account Strategy & Retention: Develop and execute rigorous customized account plans for our top-tier clients to meet and exceed Gross Revenue Retention (GRR) and Net Revenue Retention (NRR) goals.
Whitespace Pipeline Generation: Build a robust expansion pipeline by proactively identifying whitespace opportunities within your existing accounts cross-selling new offerings and capturing additional payment flows.
Multi-Threading & Penetration: Identify and deeply qualify new business opportunities within designated enterprise accounts by building durable relationships across multiple departments (Product Finance Compliance Engineering) to ensure Berkeley is permanently embedded in their tech stack.
Consultative Selling & SBRs: Deliver compelling presentations and lead highly strategic Strategic Business Reviews (SBRs) with senior executives (CTOs CFOs COOs) to prove ongoing ROI and pitch platform expansions.
Forecasting & Analytics: Analyze your portfolios health and provide accurate real-time insights using our CRM system for executive revenue forecasting and churn mitigation.
Market Expertise: Keep strictly up-to-date with our services industry trends and our competitors representing Berkeley Payment positively while positioning our unique competitive advantages to existing clients.
Requirements
To be successful in this role you MUST meet the following core competencies and qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 4 to 5 years of relevant highly successful B2B enterprise account management or complex sales experience specifically in the payments space.
Technical Acumen: Strong knowledge and understanding of payments: money movement card issuing regulations API infrastructure etc
Sales Approach: Utilizing CRM software account mapping strategies and LinkedIn as part of a disciplined expansion process.
Consultative Approach: Strong consultative sales and retention skills with a demonstrated ability to engage retain and influence C-level and senior executives effectively.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a natural inclination for upselling and high social intelligence.
Work Ethic: Motivated self-starter who is dedicated resourceful and operates with the highest level of integrity. Research-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
Market Knowledge: Experience managing major accounts in the U.S. and Canadian markets is highly advantageous.

Hands-on experience with Docker Kubernetes (EKS) container orchestration and Karpenter. Expertise in CI/CD tools such as ArgoCD GitHub Actions and Jenkins. Advanced knowledge of Terraform for infrastructure as code. Solid scripting skills in Bash. Deep understanding of Linux administration and troubleshooting. Experience with observability tools: Loki Grafana and Elasticsearch. Knowledge of database systems: Redis MySQL and PostgreSQL. Preferred Qualifications: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Certified Administrator Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
