Inside Sales Representative / Business Development Manager (Legal Services)
Trestle Law is hiring an Inside Sales Representative / Business Development Manager to help us grow.
This is not a cold calling boiler room role. This is consultative sales inside a mission-driven law firm that serves founders creatives and business owners.
You will speak with warm leads who have already expressed interest in protecting or strengthening their businesses. Your job is to help them understand their options guide them to the right solution and move them confidently through our intake process.
We are looking for someone who is proactive organized confident and service-oriented. Someone who understands that sales is not about pressure its about clarity trust and follow-through. If you are driven personable and comfortable working inside CRM and case management systems this could be an excellent fit.
Compensation & Benefits
- $50000 $70000 base salary (depending on experience)
- Performance-based bonuses
- Expected total compensation of $70000 $85000 based on performance

A detailed compensation structure will be discussed during the interview process.
- Conduct consultations with prospective clients (phone and video)
- Explain legal service offerings clearly (trademarks copyrights contracts IP strategy)
- Enter detailed notes and manage follow-up inside LawRuler (CRM)
- Prepare and send engagement agreements
- Track prospects and opportunities in Excel and Clio
- Follow up consistently with warm and past leads
- Make proactive client check-in calls (GAS calls Give-A-Sh*t calls)
- Identify opportunities for additional services within existing client relationships
- Help the firm reach monthly new matter goals
- Maintain organized pipeline tracking and performance metrics
- Collaborate with attorneys and the production team for smooth client handoffs
- Suggest new ideas for business development and lead generation
This role requires someone who can move efficiently between platforms and stay highly organized.
Required:
- California resident
- 2 years of consultative sales experience (professional services preferred)
- Comfortable asking for the business and handling objections professionally
- Strong phone presence and written communication skills
- Experience working inside CRM systems
- Organized detail-oriented and process-driven
- Comfortable with performance targets and accountability
Preferred:
- Experience in legal financial or professional services
- Familiarity with trademarks copyrights patents or business law
- Experience with LawRuler Clio or similar CRM/case management software
- Business development experience beyond pure intake
