LOGISTICS CUSTOMER SERVICE SPECIALIST (Permanent)
Our client a global logistics organization located in Amherst NY is looking to add a Logistics Customer Service Specialist to their growing team.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily international customer service responsibilities contributing to sales and overall growth of the company
- Manage phone and email correspondence answering questions and resolving issues in a timely manner
- Receive and enter purchase orders ensuring proper documentation follows
- Ensure bills of lading letters of credit warehouse records and invoices are all up to date accurate and organized
- Answer any order-related questions customers may have in a timely manner
- Negotiate freight rates & logistics-related costs and approve as necessary
- Collaborate with various internal/external team members to ensure shipments meet appropriate specifications (warehouse producers trucking companies etc.)
- Troubleshoot issues as they ariseshipping issues rerouting freight shipment delayand communicate updates to customers in real time
- Oversee Accounts receivable billing and invoicing to ensure customer is in good standing
- Juggle multiple tasks at a time in a fast-paced environment
- Work well in a team environment as well as independently
- Other duties as assigned/as necessary
Details:
- Position is full-time direct hire
- Standard 40 hours/week Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm EST
- Hybrid (in-office Tuesday through Thursday required) after training (training is 5 days in office)
- $55000 - $65000 annually depending on experience; year-end bonus potential

- Associates Degree
- 2-3 years experience
- Experience with contracts supply chain or logistics preferred
- Strong computer skills
- Professional demeanor and ability to interact with clients
- Great interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong organization skills analytical and time management skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Self-motivated
- Relocation not available
