Job Summary

LOGISTICS CUSTOMER SERVICE SPECIALIST (Permanent)
Our client a global logistics organization located in Amherst NY is looking to add a Logistics Customer Service Specialist to their growing team.


Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily international customer service responsibilities contributing to sales and overall growth of the company
  • Manage phone and email correspondence answering questions and resolving issues in a timely manner
  • Receive and enter purchase orders ensuring proper documentation follows
  • Ensure bills of lading letters of credit warehouse records and invoices are all up to date accurate and organized
  • Answer any order-related questions customers may have in a timely manner
  • Negotiate freight rates & logistics-related costs and approve as necessary
  • Collaborate with various internal/external team members to ensure shipments meet appropriate specifications (warehouse producers trucking companies etc.)
  • Troubleshoot issues as they ariseshipping issues rerouting freight shipment delayand communicate updates to customers in real time
  • Oversee Accounts receivable billing and invoicing to ensure customer is in good standing
  • Juggle multiple tasks at a time in a fast-paced environment
  • Work well in a team environment as well as independently
  • Other duties as assigned/as necessary


Details:

  • Position is full-time direct hire
  • Standard 40 hours/week Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm EST
  • Hybrid (in-office Tuesday through Thursday required) after training (training is 5 days in office)
  • $55000 - $65000 annually depending on experience; year-end bonus potential

  • Associates Degree
  • 2-3 years experience
  • Experience with contracts supply chain or logistics preferred
  • Strong computer skills
  • Professional demeanor and ability to interact with clients
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong organization skills analytical and time management skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Self-motivated
  • Relocation not available
