We are seeking COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE TRANSACTIONS PARALEGAL to serve as a key partner to the General Counsel the Legal team and the Transactions this high-impact role you will manage the full lifecycle of real estate transactions driving efficient execution from due diligence through closing and post-closing matters. This is a hybrid position based in our downtown Chicago office with an in-office presence of 2 3 days per week and remote work arrangements may be considered if needed. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in drafting reviewing and revising various transaction-related documents including purchase and sale agreements closing statements deeds and other commercial real estate contracts.
- Perform critical due diligence tasks such as title and survey review and analyzing zoning and environmental reports.
- Assist in the preparation and review of due diligence checklists to ensure all contractual obligations are met.
- Organize the closing process by coordinating schedules track post-closing obligations and organize final closing binders.
- Review closing documents for accuracy and completeness before execution.
- Prepare and organize closing binders and ensure all necessary documents are executed recorded and properly filed.
- Act as a primary point of contact between the legal team clients and third-party vendors including title companies lenders and opposing counsel.
- Maintain organized electronic and physical transaction files for all transactions in compliance with company document retention policies.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree and a minimum of 2-3 years legal experience in a law firm with a specific focus on commercial real estate transactions.
- Strong proficiency with technology for managing real estate transactions for creating complex documents and spreadsheets; and an aptitude for adapting to new technology and software as required by the role.
- Proven ability to simultaneously manage multiple complex projects while consistently meeting critical deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships across all organizational levels.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain composure under pressure handle sensitive confidential information with discretion and work effectively with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work effectively independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of performance.

The annual compensation range for this role is $90000 - $130000 and eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on individual and company performance.
