This is a remote position.
We are looking for a Business Analyst - Finance Operations Continuity to help turn operational knowledge into structured transferable systems.
In many companies critical processes still depend on a few people who just know how it works. That creates risk delays confusion and makes it difficult to scale or use AI effectively. Your job is to make that knowledge explicit.
You will work on business-critical processes and translate them into a fixed continuity format: SOPs decision trees rules libraries ownership structures backup models and escalation logic.
This is not a traditional consulting role. It is a building role. You will help create the structure that allows work to continue smoothly when someone is absent overloaded replaced or when a new person needs to take over quickly.
What you will do
- Analyze how operational processes work in practice
- Identify unclear decision points exceptions and dependency risks
- Build clear SOPs and process documentation in a standard format
- Translate decision points and process knowledge into decision trees and rules libraries
- Define what should happen when the normal workflow breaks down
- Clarify who owns each step who is backup and when to escalate
- Work with process owners and users to validate real-life workflow logic
- Support pilot implementations and improve process continuity over time
- Help make processes more scalable transferable and AI-ready
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in operations finance operations process documentation or similar
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Strong written communication skills
- Ability to work with templates and standard frameworks
- Comfortable working with cross-functional teams and remote environments
Preferred
- Experience in AP AR General Accounting in shared services or finance support processes.
- Experience with workflow systems or ERP-based environments
- Experience in SOP building quality control or process improvement
Required Skills:
a senior finance operations specialist (Accounts Payable SME) a process analyst with a strong feel for finance a senior AP / bookkeeping professional who likes structure a QA / process improvement professional with financial understanding
Required Education:
Bachelors Degree in Accountancy Management Accounting or Accounting Technology or related field of study
