Responsibilities
Hands-on in operating injection molding machine and other auxiliary equipment such as automation handling system mold temperature controller chiller mixer etc.
Application of optimal injection parameters leading to part molded condition achieving dimensional stability and free from common molding defects.
Able to carry out mold testing independently. Well-prepared and lead during mold trials by ensuring molds are qualified per requirements.
Establish guidelines in mold testing procedures and safety.
Close follow-up on mold development stages from design fabrication assembly mold trials and testing. These include coordination with vendors planners and production to ensure activities are seamless and smooth handover to production.
Conduct DOE on different injection parameters how these parameters affect molded part with data to support the overall analysis study.
Be the go-to-expert in resolving issues related to injection. Participate in DFM to provide valuable advice on part moldability.
Experience in tool steel grade and resin selection to ensure achieving mold guarantee shots and reduced maintenance.
Requirements
Diploma or degree in engineering or manufacturing
At least 8 years of hands-on work experience in injection molding
Understand mold construction and plastic parts drawings with critical GD&T callouts
Proficient in molding simulation software such as Moldflow Moldex3D etc.
Working hours:
Mon to Fri 8am to 5:45pm
