We are currently seeking a Registered General Nurse Day Procedure Unit for a hospital based in Limerick Ireland.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver non-oncology infusion treatments while continuously monitoring patient condition and response.
- Provide clear education guidance and emotional support to patients and their families regarding procedures and care plans.
- Recognize and promptly manage adverse reactions including anaphylaxis and other clinical emergencies.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe high-quality patient-centred care.
- Adhere strictly to infection control policies safety protocols and best practice standards.
- Participate in continuous professional development and contribute to quality improvement and service enhancement initiatives.
Requirements
Registered General Nurse (RGN) with a valid and current NMBI registration.At least one year of post-registration experience preferably in infusion services or a related clinical area.Proficient in the administration of IV therapies including biologics and iron infusions.Excellent communication skills with a compassionate patient-focused approach to care.Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.Skilled in recognising and managing anaphylaxis and other emergency situations.Previous experience in infusion therapy particularly involving biologic agents or immunoglobulin treatments.Advanced intravenous competencies including IV cannulation and venepuncture along with strong patient education skills.
