We are Hiring an Assistant Director of Nursing - ADON to lead a Nursing Home in Wicklow Ireland.
Responsibilities
Support the Director of Nursing in delivering high-quality clinical care and overseeing the effective operation of the nursing home.
Promote a culture of person-centred care ensuring residents dignity independence and wellbeing are maintained at all times.
Assist residents in maintaining independence and avoiding unnecessary hospital admissions working closely with families where appropriate.
Demonstrate strong clinical knowledge and ensure care practices align with current best practices and professional standards.
Contribute to efficient resource management and continuous quality improvement within the service.
Participate in the daily management of the home including supervision staff support and regular nursing rounds.
Support the development implementation and review of policies procedures and HIQA standards compliance.
Take responsibility for clinical governance activities including audits incident reviews complaint management and acting as Person in Charge when required.
Assist in human resource functions such as staff supervision recruitment rostering performance management and ongoing staff development.
Promote continuous education and professional development by facilitating training mentoring staff and maintaining personal professional competence while ensuring confidentiality at all times.
Requirements
Must be registered with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (formerly An Bord Altranais) with active registration.
A minimum of five years post-registration nursing experience is required.
Demonstrated knowledge of relevant healthcare legislation and Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA) Standards for Residential Care Settings is essential.
Previous experience in an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) role is mandatory.
