We are urgently seeking a Staff Nurse -Emergency Department for a hospital in Cork Ireland.
Nurses will be required to work days nights and weekends.
Responsibilities
Deliver safe effective and timely nursing care to patients presenting to the ED/UCC.
Perform rapid assessment triage and prioritisation of patients according to clinical urgency.
Monitor observe and document patients clinical conditions escalating concerns promptly.
Administer medications and treatments in accordance with medical orders and clinical guidelines.
Provide emergency interventions and life-saving measures as required.
Communicate effectively with patients families and the multidisciplinary team.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with hospital policies.
Adhere to infection prevention and control health and safety and clinical governance standards.
Requirements
Third Level Nursing Qualification
Current NMBI registration (essential)
Minimum 2 years post-registration experience including at least 1 year in Emergency Department nursing
ENB 199 or equivalent with skills in plastering and splinting
ACLS certification (desirable) or willingness to undertake
Strong commitment to patient safety and quality care
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Adaptable with proven ability to multitask
Up-to-date knowledge of Emergency Department best practices
Self-motivated with a commitment to continuous professional development
