Position summary: Roy Jorgensen Associates Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Building Engineer.The position is a hands-on technician position responsible for performing work assignments identifying needed work preparing work areas and conducting work to ensure the safety of occupants Continuity of business operations and the cleanliness of all work areas. The position will support locations in thePompano Beach FLarea.
The company desires an individual with high degree of focus on customer service exceptional technical skills and an aptitude for facilities maintenanceincluding electrical mechanical general building trouble-shooting diagnosing and repairs; alone with executing preventive maintenance (PM) activities and including oversight of subcontracted services as required. The preferred candidate will be a hands-on technician self-starter dependable have demonstrated knowledge in conducting building inspections maintenance and repairs as well as ability to quickly learn client sites buildings systems norms of operation occupancy and conditions of use in order to anticipate and respond to customer needs and requirements responsiblyand professionally. Candidate should speak and understand English well be customer service oriented a self-starter reliable flexible conduct themselves in a professional manner be able to make informed decisions and have a willingness to learn.
Experience and Skills required:
- Conduct preventive and reactive maintenance for all building systemsincluding HVAC electrical plumbing and life safety equipment ensuring proper functioning and adherence to safety regulations.
- Manage HVAC systems maintenanceincluding controls air-cooled chillers VAV VFD and related equipment troubleshooting issues with actuators and control valves.
- Oversee building management (BMS) operationsto maintain optimal building environments modifying equipment schedules during shutdowns as needed.
- Handle tenant service requestswith thorough documentation in the CMMS system ensuring complete lifecycle reporting.
- Act as the technical leadfor client interactions providing maintenance solutions and coordinating project meetings.
- Administer life safety equipment inspections repairs and documentation ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.
- Respond to emergencies and after-hours situations including troubleshooting and evaluating operations for potential upgrades and savings.
- Inspect buildings grounds and equipmentfor unsafe or malfunctioning conditions and report findings to management.
- Perform general repairs and maintenancefor fixtures doors ceilings hand railings and plumbing systems.
Schedule:
Full time; Day shift Monday through Friday. Must be able to work nights and weekends as required.
Salary:
$35.00-$40.00/HR Based on experience plus benefits)
