Job Description:
The Director Corporate Training is responsible for leadership planning and implementation of Corporate Training. This position will work to develop and plan for the implementation of new programs. The Director works in conjunction with the Executive Director to cultivate relationships with grants trainers partners and students while assisting in identifying new opportunities and contributes to the development and implementation of the departmental strategic growth plan. This position reports to the Executive Director Corporate Training and Continuing Education.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Supports and represents the mission vision values and goals of the College.
Oversees plans implements and evaluates a diverse portfolio of programs.
Recruits monitors and evaluates adjunct faculty and administrative staff.
Monitors collection of student data for various reports including grant reporting.
Works in conjunction with the Executive Director Corporate Training and Continuing Education to identify new markets.
Plans develops conducts and evaluates comprehensive training programs for business industry and governmental agencies.
Participates in the development of both short and long term departmental strategic planning.
Assists in identifying departmental growth opportunities including grants scholarships and current community needs.
Monitors program budgets; ensures fiscal responsibility and alignment with departmental goals.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Essential Functions:
Ability to read analyze and interpret nonprofit business periodicals professional journals and governmental industry regulations.
Ability to prioritize work meet deadlines attention to detail and follow through on assignments.
Keeps abreast of business and industry trends and demonstrates skills in developing and conveying complex presentations to a diverse population.
Ability to present information effectively and respond to questions from various stakeholders.
Advanced computer skills to include multitasking in an electronic environment.
Ability to demonstrate professional and discretionary communication skills via electronic verbal and written communication.
Ability to provide complex office administrative support in the areas of procurement budgeting report preparation and staff communication.
Regular and consistent attendance as well as punctuality are essential to fulfilling the requirements of this job.
Required work time may involve some evenings and variations in work hours for registration and special related events.
In-district and overnight travel may be required.
Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from an institution that holds accreditation recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and approved by the College with a bachelors degree. Three years of full-time post- secondary teaching or administrative experience are required. Successful results of a criminal background check are required.
Pursuant to College policy it is an employment eligibility requirement for an applicant to meet the requirements of 435.04(2) Florida Statutes related to background investigations. Any person failing to meet the requirements of the statute will be deemed not qualified to hold employment in this position. A Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) approved background check will be conducted on every successful candidate as a condition of employment and any person who fails to disclose any adverse information contained in the background investigation at the time of submitting the employment application will be disqualified from employment.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the corporate sector in area of human resources supervision corporate training or technical expertise are desirable.
Salary Range: $48300.00 $62000.00 depending on experience and qualifications
