HJH Investments is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our collaborative and entrepreneurial team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys full-cycle accounting real estate/property accounting and financial analysis - all within a flexible team-first environment.

What Youll Do:

• Perform full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of commercial real estate properties
• Process Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) transactions
• Prepare and reconcile general ledger accounts and post journal entries
• Manage tenant recoveries including CAM (Common Area Maintenance) property taxes and insurance
• Review post and track tenant billbacks and charges
• Provide responsive accounting support to property managers tenants vendors and internal teams
• Set up new tenants and properties in AppFolio (property management software)
• Assist with budgeting forecasting and financial planning & analysis (FP&A)
• Identify process improvements and support ongoing accounting system optimization

What Were Looking For:

• 14 years of accounting experience (full-cycle accounting required)
• Experience in commercial real estate accounting or property management accounting preferred
• Familiarity with AppFolio or similar property management/accounting software is a plus
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data analysis reconciliations reporting)
• Solid understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting
• Excellent analytical organizational and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• Self-motivated detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities
