- Shift: Day Shift (11:00 AM 11:30 PM)
- Hours: 34.5 hours per week (3 days/week)
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Holiday Requirement: As needed
- Work Type: 100% Onsite
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Telemetry Technician to provide continuous cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation in a clinical setting. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in identifying arrhythmias and responding promptly to critical patient conditions ensuring patient safety at all times.
Responsibilities:
- Perform electrocardiograms (ECGs) with accurate electrode placement
- Continuously monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias
- Identify and respond to life-threatening rhythm changes
- Initiate emergency response protocols and document cardiac rhythms during events
- Respond to and troubleshoot monitor alarms promptly
- Communicate effectively with nurses physicians and care team members
- Enter and verify physician orders within the system
- Retrieve lab results and report critical findings
- Maintain accurate and compliant patient documentation
- Operate and maintain telemetry and monitoring equipment
Requirements:
- Pediatric telemetry experience required
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Certifications & Licensure:
- BLS (AHA or Red Cross) valid within 1 year
- Telemetry Certification required
- Dysrhythmia Course required
Additional Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations
