About this opportunity
In this newly created role as a Housing Specialist you will support individuals and families experiencing homelessness and domestic and family violence (DFV) by managing a portfolio of transitional housing properties. You will be responsible for endtoend tenancy and property management and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure safe secure and sustainable housing outcomes.
In this role you will:
- Manage tenancy matters across transitional and private rental properties from entry to exit.
- Complete regular property inspections and home visits to support tenancy compliance.
- Coordinate responsive and planned maintenance across all relevant properties.
- Maintain accurate tenancy records in line with legislative and organisational requirements.
- Support tenants to sustain housing through early intervention and transition planning.
Youll be a great fit if you:
- Have experience in community housing real estate or property management with a good understanding of tenancy practices and legislation.
- Understand the Residential Tenancies Act or can quickly learn and apply this knowledge.
- Bring awareness of DFV and homelessness issues and can engage respectfully and safely with diverse communities.
- Communicate clearly manage conflict calmly and support positive tenancy outcomes.
- Have strong organisational and administrative skills with confidence using Microsoft Office and tenancy management systems.
