Shipping Associate Temporary (Sunday Tuesday)

TheShippingAssociatewill work within theshipping department to ensure our customers receive items quickly and fully intact. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who can succeed in a very fast-paced and competitive environment. This positions is a temporary role focused on Sunday Monday and Tuesday shifts.

Key Functions Responsibilities and Tasks

• Assist in the sorting of incoming packages
• Assure orders andshippingquantities match picking documents through careful audit of documents
• Process complete orders by creatingshippinglabels
• Assemble cardboard boxes or other packages for shipment
• Insert items into boxes and packages using fillers and protective padding
• Affixshippinglabels on boxes or packages identifyingshippinginformation
• Examine outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications
• Assists in maintaining inventory ofshippingmaterials and supplies
• Work withshippingcarriers to ensure all packages are picked up and loaded in vehicles for shipment
• Help with or complete special projects at the discretion of supervisor or manager
• Maintainshippingstations are in working order and stocked with materials
• May be required to drop off packages at carrier locations
• May direct others in preparing outgoing and receiving incoming shipments
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed

Required

• A positive attitude and excellent communication skills are essential.
• Must be 18 years of age and have a High School diploma or GED
• Ability to multitask handle varying daily priorities and meet deadlines consistently
• Ability to lift Items up to 50 lbs

Preferred

• Previousshipping receiving or service experience is a plus.
• Previous experience working in ashippingor receiving department
• Previous work experience with a majorshippingcarrier

Compensation

$16 - $18 per hour based on experience
