Prod Tech 1 Day Shift (60557)

Summary

The Production Technician supports the safe efficient and consistent production of Tofurky products. This role includes tasks across sealing peeling mixing/cooking packaging and general production support. Responsibilities include operating and monitoring equipment handling materials ensuring food safety and quality maintaining accurate documentation and keeping work areas clean and safe.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate monitor start up and shut down production equipment (mixers ovens forming equipment packaging machines conveyors etc.).
• Perform production activities include:
• Seal: Remove casing slicing move racks set up Multivac handle intermediate products.
• Peel/seal: Remove casings move racks wash totes handle intermediate products.
• Mix/Cook: Weigh ingredients mix and form raw materials bake/cook products.
• Packaging: Handle sleeve/bag carton pack palletize and X-ray products.
• Attach appropriate labels tags and lot/batch numbers to products and packages.
• Perform quality checks and complete all required processing and quality documentation.
• Load/unload raw materials and finished goods.
• Follow all safety rules including PPE use chemical handling and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Maintain compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment (sweeping mopping cleaning machinery scraping waste washing equipment).
• Assist with general production and support tasks as directed by the Production Supervisor.

Education & Experience

• Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: Prior sanitation janitorial or food processing experience.
• Experience working with cleaning chemicals and equipment is a plus.

Physical Demands

• Ability to stand walk bend kneel or crouch for extended periods.
• Must safely lift/move up to 45 lbs. regularly.
• Comfortable working in wet noisy or varied temperature environments.
• Ability to use ladders work in tight spaces and move equipment as needed.

Monday though Thursday 5:00am to 3:30pm
