  • Full-time Exempt
  • PM shift 1500-2300 Monday - Friday. Position can offer some flexibility but will also require flexibility for weekends and off shifts as needed.
  • Seeking a candidate who demonstrates a positive approachable style and can lead with strong listening skills fairness and hands-on support.
  • RN ICU experience required; Cardiovascular ICU experience will be highly preferred. Previous lead/charge or supervisory experience.

The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) offers a collaborative space where Registered Nurses Certified Nursing Assistants and Health Unit Coordinators work side by side supporting one another to provide the best care possible. Our team provides a dedicated and strong culture of learning. The team is further strengthened by having a dedicated Intensivist 24/7 on-site and skilled Respiratory Therapy professionals available to help manage complex cases. Patient population include a robust cardiovascular surgery population sepsis respiratory failure general surgery and others. Department leadership includes a manager an educator and a cardiovascular coordinator staff benefit from strong leadership and opportunities for professional growth. The department features 17 private rooms ensuring comfort and privacy for both patients and caregivers. Those joining the ICU can expect an environment that values teamwork learning and high-quality care with 6 week scheduling and self scheduling practices.

Were Looking For:

  • Bachelors Degree in Nursing required.

  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association or within 6 months.

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or within 6 months.

  • Typically requires 3 years of experience in an inpatient nursing unit environment.

What Youll Do:

  • This role partners closely with frontline teams assists with daily operations such as scheduling workflow coordination and helps resolves barriers in real addition this position will play an active role in supporting quality outcomes reinforcing standards and advancing hospital initiatives while fostering a respectful teamcentered environment.

  • Responsible for supervising nursing support staff and patient care activities on assigned shifts. Acts as a clinical resource to unit staff members. May also assume responsibility for direct patient care as needed. Promotes the conceptual framework of Aurora Health Cares nursing practice. This is accomplished by subscribing to the five management accountabilities: human resources fiscal materials management support and system linkage.
