Hourly Rate: $22.00 - $25.00

Hybrid Position In-office 1-3 days per week

Duties & Responsibilities

  • The Accounting Specialist oversees the daily activities of accounts payable purchasing card administration and related reconciliations. This role supports managers staff and employees by providing accurate accounting information and assistance in the areas of accounts payable employee expenses and purchasing card processes.
  • The position performs a variety of accounting tasks and support functions including processing accounts payable invoices ensuring the accurate entry of expenses and researching tracking and resolving discrepancies or inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Engage with vendors to address and resolve billing or service disputes maintaining continuous service operations.
  • Investigates and resolves issues related to expense and payment discrepancies.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintains comprehensive and accurate documentation to verify financial records and ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Reviews purchasing card transactions to ensure accurate coding proper documentation and full compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Handling and distributing incoming mail for the Accounting Department.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Bookkeeping coursework is preferred.
  • 3 years of experience in an accounting environment with data review and entry experience.
  • Must be able to meet requirements for Eckerds Auto Insurance and be able to drive for business purposes.
  • Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.
