Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead development integration and documentation of structural fatigue and fracture requirements. Verify structural integrity by using and developing analytical methods finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment characteristics and performance.

  • Lead development of test plans and configurations supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.

  • Define and documents certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied.

  • Support in-service products by leading investigations into failures and analyzing improvements.

  • Develop analytical processes/tools to improve effectiveness quality and efficiency of the development effort.

  • Able to plan and execute tasks within constraints imposed by internal and external customer schedules.

  • Work under minimal direction

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical Civil Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)

  • Level 3: 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience

  • 3 years of working with fatigue and damage tolerance analysis

  • Experience writing technical reports

  • This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Level 4: 9 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience

  • Active Secret Clearance

  • Experience with structural analysis on military aerospace products

  • Experience with MIL-STD-1530 (Aircraft Structural Integrity Program) and its requirements

  • Experience with structural analysis software such as PATRAN/NASTRAN StressCheck and Lifeworks

  • Experience with Spectrum Generation

  • Experience with Full-Scale Fatigue Testing and/or other structural and material testing plans

  • Experience working on MRB (Materials Review Board) activities related to aircraft structures.

  • Experience with application of classical stress intensity solutions

  • Strong oral and written communications skills

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications as well as market and business considerations.
