Job Title: Medical Assistant
Schedule: Monday Thursday Day Shift (6:45 AM 4:00 PM)
Pay Rate: $21/hour (W2)
Location: Cincinnati OH
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and clinically skilled Medical Assistant to support providers in both clinical and administrative functions. The role focuses on ensuring smooth patient flow accurate documentation and high-quality patient support in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage patient flow and document clinical information in EMR systems
- Record vital signs medical histories and medication updates
- Prepare and maintain complete and accurate patient charts
- Assist with medication refills prior authorizations and patient communication
- Maintain exam rooms supplies and clinical readiness
- Coordinate scheduling patient intake and communications
- Perform clinical procedures including:
- EKGs
- Phlebotomy
- Vaccinations
- Assisting with in-office procedures
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and patient confidentiality (HIPAA)
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program
- BLS certification required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications:
- 25 years of Medical Assistant experience
- Experience in primary care specialty clinics or urgent care settings
- Familiarity with Epic EMR
- Certification as CMA or RMA
- Clinical experience with wound care splinting suture removal or procedural assistance
