Senior Trust Accounts Officer
Full Time Permanent

Salary:$90000 - $110000
Location:CBD
Hours:38 hours per week
Flexibility:1 day working from home following probation

We are currently recruiting an experiencedSenior Trust Accounts Officerto join a well-established and growing organisation with an excellent reputation in its industry. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a successful business that continues to go from strength to strength.

This position plays a key role within the finance team with responsibility for overseeing trust account processes ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and supporting wider day-to-day finance operations. The successful candidate will bring strong reconciliation experience advanced Excel skills including lookups pivot tables and macros and the confidence to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

This role will suit someone who enjoys taking ownership solving problems and contributing to the continuous improvement of systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities

Manage daily trust account transactions and ensure compliance with relevant trust account regulations
Perform regular bank and trust account reconciliations with a high degree of accuracy
Investigate and resolve discrepancies variances and account issues in a timely manner
Support operational teams with trust accounting queries and related processes
Assist with accounts receivable duties including invoicing receipting and debtor follow-up
Prepare financial information and supporting documentation for reporting and audits
Identify and contribute to process improvements across the finance function
Maintain accurate client and financial records across internal systems

About You

Previous experience in trust accounting within property legal insurance or another regulated industry
Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals including debits and credits
Excellent reconciliation and analytical skills with strong attention to detail
Confident working independently and resolving financial discrepancies
Strong communication and organisational skills
Solid working knowledge of Excel and accounting systems
