We are currently recruiting an experiencedSenior Trust Accounts Officerto join a well-established and growing organisation with an excellent reputation in its industry. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a successful business that continues to go from strength to strength.
This position plays a key role within the finance team with responsibility for overseeing trust account processes ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and supporting wider day-to-day finance operations. The successful candidate will bring strong reconciliation experience advanced Excel skills including lookups pivot tables and macros and the confidence to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
This role will suit someone who enjoys taking ownership solving problems and contributing to the continuous improvement of systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily trust account transactions and ensure compliance with relevant trust account regulations
- Perform regular bank and trust account reconciliations with a high degree of accuracy
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies variances and account issues in a timely manner
- Support operational teams with trust accounting queries and related processes
- Assist with accounts receivable duties including invoicing receipting and debtor follow-up
- Prepare financial information and supporting documentation for reporting and audits
- Identify and contribute to process improvements across the finance function
- Maintain accurate client and financial records across internal systems
About You
- Previous experience in trust accounting within property legal insurance or another regulated industry
- Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals including debits and credits
- Excellent reconciliation and analytical skills with strong attention to detail
- Confident working independently and resolving financial discrepancies
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Solid working knowledge of Excel and accounting systems
