We are currently seeking a reliable and safetyfocused Casual Shuttle Bus Driver to support our staff and students.

This role is ideal for someone looking for parttime splitshift hours with additional opportunities during the school day and occasional Saturdays.

Your Role

You will be responsible for driving a Collegeowned 12seater shuttle bus transporting staff and students between local train stations and the College campus as well as supporting excursions and events.

Hours
  • Approximately 2 hours each morning and 2 hours each afternoon
  • Additional ad hoc hours during school hours
  • Occasional Saturdays as required
  • Casual engagement with variable hours
Responsibilities may Include:

You are dependable punctual and enjoy working in an educational environment. You take pride in safe driving and providing a friendly professional service to students and staff.

  • Safely operate a 12seater shuttle bus in accordance with road laws and College policies
  • Transport staff and students to and from designated local train stations and the College campus
  • Conduct prestart and posttrip vehicle safety checks
  • Maintain a clean tidy and roadworthy vehicle at all times
  • Ensure punctual pickup and dropoff services
  • Provide a friendly respectful and professional service to students and staff
  • Monitor student behaviour during transit and report any concerns in line with College procedures
  • Complete basic logbooks or records as required
  • Support College excursions and events when scheduled

Key Selection Criteria

  • Demonstrated experience and background in driving a similar vehicle to high safety standards
  • Ability to cope within a high-pressure environment staying calm and positive.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills both written and oral.
Essential Qualifications:
  • A current Queensland driver licence suitable for a 12seater vehicle
  • A good driving record
  • A current Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)
  • A responsible and personable approach when working with young people
