About the Opportunity
We are seeking a Research Intern to support the Customer Experience team at a New York regional not-for-profit health plan. This role is responsible for supporting ongoing customer provider and other stakeholder research efforts that inform experience strategy product improvements and service design across multiple lines of business (including Medicare Medicaid and Commercial).
The Research Intern will partner closely with senior researchers CX strategists and business leaders to manage quantitative and qualitative methodologies (especially survey) and support our growing Voice of the Customer program. This role is ideal for an earlycareer researcher who is passionate about improving healthcare experiences interested in developing their skills with AI tools and eager to explore how customer insights can be used to drive business decisions and make meaningful customer experience improvements.
Qualifications youll bring:
- Education Licensures & Certifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelors or Masters degree in UX Marketing Business Psychology Data Science or a related field
- Years of Experience (Required & Preferred)
- Undergraduate students must be a junior or senior at an accredited institution or have graduated within 12 months of the program. Graduate students must be enrolled at an accredited institution or have graduated within 12 months of the program.
- Portfolio of academic professional or personal research projects preferred demonstrating experience with UX/CX research methods data analysis insight synthesis and storytelling (e.g. surveys interviews usability testing dashboards or visual reports).
- Required Job Skills
- Foundational understanding of UX and/or CX research methods including surveys interviews usability testing and qualitative synthesis
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
- Ability to clearly communicate insights through storytelling presentations and visualizations
- Comfort working with data and learning new tools or platforms
- Strong collaboration skills in a crossfunctional and remote environment
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with guidance in a fastpaced environment
- Interest in healthcare member experience and service improvement
- Curiosity to foster innovation and pave the way for growth

Your key responsibilities:
- Support lead researchers with the execution of customer and user research studies including: Survey design data cleaning analysis and reporting
- Help synthesize data from feedback programs into clear actionable insights
- Maintain and contribute to a centralized repository of research insights visual assets and best practices
- Create engaging data visualizations dashboards and reports that translate complex findings into clear narratives for business and experience leaders
- Support ongoing experience measurement programs (e.g. CSAT NPS CX tracking) and help identify trends and opportunities
- Explore and evaluate emerging AIenabled research tools to improve research efficiency and insight generation
- Participate in specific Intern projects and activities with other interns in the summer program
