Job Summary
Make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable adults as an Adult Protection Specialist serving North Idaho from our Lewiston this vital role youll investigate reports of abuse neglect self-neglect and exploitation working directly with individuals families and community partners to ensure safety and dignity.
Youll conduct thorough investigations by interviewing clients and collateral contacts documenting findings completing comprehensive assessments and developing supportive service plans. Your work will include ongoing case management advocating for clients and connecting them to services that promote independence while reducing risk. When necessary youll collaborate with law enforcement and the Department of Health & Welfare prepare affidavits and participate in court proceedings. Youll also engage in community outreach -helping educate the public and partner organizations about adult protection services - while maintaining accurate records and contributing to program reporting and goals. Travel throughout the region is part of the role as you meet clients where they are.

Minimum Qualifications
To meet the education and experience requirements at least one of the following criteria must be met:
Must hold a valid Idaho social worker license; OR
A Bachelors degree in a human services field or closely related field of study and at least two years of full-time experience in direct service delivery to vulnerable adults; OR
An Associates degree and at least two years of full-time experience in the law enforcement field.
Required License and/or Certifications:
Must possess a valid drivers license and proof of liability insurance.
Starting pay range: $22.00-$26.00
Work Site Location: Aging and Adult Services Lewiston Office
Work Schedule: Typically Mon-Fri 7:30-4:00 Expected to start June 22 2026
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of background check and proof of degree if requiredfor this position.
