Job Summary
Position Summary:
Maintenance Technician II does a variety of semi-skilled work in the alteration maintenance and repair. Employees work in a variety of trade areas including but not limited to plumbing HVAC carpentry painting plastering building and grounds maintenance and mechanical repair. The goal is to maintain the buildings and common areas in the best possible condition.
Requirements
Education:
High school graduate or GED required.
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
Current Class C Oregon Drivers License Required. Maintain clean driving record.
Experience:
Two (2) years of: a) general building maintenance; b) carpentry; c) electrical; d) mechanical; e) painting or f) plastering experience. A journeymans license/card in any of the above trades will substitute for this experience. Experience preferred in a healthcare facility.
Job Knowledge:
Basic knowledge of machines and tools including their designs uses benefits repair and maintenance. Basic knowledge of plumbing sheet rock and painting. Knowledge of hazardous materials and waste and their uses interactions dangers production handling storage and disposal. Willing and capable to receive on the job training.
Skills:
Demonstrates basic working knowledge of: a) general building maintenance; b) carpentry; c) electrical; d) mechanical; e) painting or f) plastering. Ability to work in emergency situations with high stress factors. Thorough professional with a practical mind and attention to detail. Ability to comprehend verbally and in writing a wide range of technical subjects. Skills to repair technical issues. Self-starter. Strong time management skills. Ability to work with little to no supervision. Complete tasks in a safe and timely manner following all codes and regulations.
