Job Description

Perform cleaning services to all areas of Iona University

Duties and Responsibilities

• Includes cleaning vacuuming sweeping mopping dusting climbing a ladder to clean windows and lifting up to 50 pounds of any assigned areas such as bathrooms offices classrooms auditoriums gymnasiums dormitories etc.
• Collection and disposal of any garbage and recyclables from all trash containers and bringing it to designated areas
• Sweep mop strip and buff hard wood floors where necessary
• Report to supervisor any faulty building functions such as lights doors locks bathroom fixtures
• Assist snow removal department when needed
• May require overtime
• Any other duties as requested

Required Experience

• Possess some knowledge of cleaning procedures and cleaning agents
• Valid Drivers License
• High School Diploma preferred
