Job Summary

Specialist Laboratory Coordination is instrumental in managing compound and sample inventory at QPS Bioanalytical and DMPK departments. Laboratory Coordination requires comfort with computer systems and databases attention to detail professionalism excellent verbal and written communication skills multi-tasking and an ability to prioritize. Position will include work with both chemical and biologically hazardous materials and encompass multiple QPS sites all within a ten-mile radius in Newark DE. Ability to comply with safety and standard operating procedures is required.

The Job

Support compound and sample coordination activities including procurement regulated receipt and import and inventory management in compliance with QPS standard operating procedures and safety requirements.
Assist with the transfer of compounds and samples including returns disposal and distribution of materials; coordinate and process both domestic and international shipments.
Maintain accurate organized and up-to-date compound and sample records and databases.

Work Location

This job will be 100% QPS-office/facility based and will require frequent travel between QPS DE sites.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma with demonstrated experience supporting logistics inventory or sample/material coordination in a regulated or controlled environment.
Experience maintaining accurate organized records and databases with a strong understanding of secure information management practices.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety requirements.
Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to coordinate activities and follow through on tasks.
Ability to prioritize workload and work independently in a fast-paced highly regulated environment.
Proficiency with or ability to learn database systems (e.g. LIMS).
Valid drivers license

Preferred Qualifications:

Associates degree in a technical scientific or related discipline.
Experience with regulated receiving shipping (including international) or inventory management of laboratory materials.
Familiarity with compound and sample handling practices in a laboratory setting.
