Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and patient-focused Dental Hygienist to provide high-quality preventive and educational dental care. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with the dental team to support patient health deliver clinical treatments and contribute to a positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine dental prophylaxis including removal of plaque tartar and stains
Apply topical fluoride treatments
Expose and process dental radiographs
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care
Provide nutrition and dietary counseling related to oral health
Review and update patient medical and dental histories
Record vital signs such as blood pressure
Chart dental conditions and document care accurately in EMR systems
Schedule and confirm patient appointments
Support training and guidance of dental hygiene students (if applicable)
Maintain compliance with clinical standards infection control and safety protocols
Qualifications:
Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene (required)
Active state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist (required)
BLS certification preferred
1 year of experience preferred (new graduates may be considered)
Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred
