Job Summary
Job Title: Dental Hygienist
Employment Type: Contract (13 Weeks)
Schedule: Day Shift (5x8 Hours) Approximately 39 hours/week
Workdays: Monday Friday (No weekends; early finish on Fridays)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and patient-focused Dental Hygienist to provide high-quality preventive and educational dental care. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with the dental team to support patient health deliver clinical treatments and contribute to a positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine dental prophylaxis including removal of plaque tartar and stains
- Apply topical fluoride treatments
- Expose and process dental radiographs
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care
- Provide nutrition and dietary counseling related to oral health
- Review and update patient medical and dental histories
- Record vital signs such as blood pressure
- Chart dental conditions and document care accurately in EMR systems
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments
- Support training and guidance of dental hygiene students (if applicable)
- Maintain compliance with clinical standards infection control and safety protocols
Qualifications:
- Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene (required)
- Active state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist (required)
- BLS certification preferred
- 1 year of experience preferred (new graduates may be considered)
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred
