Position: Tool & Die Maker

Experience: 15 years (Manufacturing / Die & Mould)

Salary: 3.5 6 LPA

Qualification: ITI (Tool & Die/Mechanical) OR Diploma (Mechanical/Production/Tool Design)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Tool & Die Maker to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabrication setup maintenance and repair of tools and dies used in metal forming and machining processes. You will work closely with production engineers and machinists to ensure tooling is accurate reliable and optimized for production efficiency

Key Responsibilities

Interpret engineering drawings specifications and tooling blueprints for dies punches jigs and fixtures.

Manufacture assemble and repair precision tools & dies using conventional machines (lathe milling grinding drilling).

Set up and operate CNC machines for tooling operations as required.

Perform Die fitting trimming and finishing to ensure dimensional accuracy.

Conduct trial runs tool testing and adjustments to meet quality standards.

Maintain tooling inventory and ensure proper documentation & calibration.

Troubleshoot tooling issues and provide corrective actions to minimize downtime.

Work with Quality and Production teams to improve tooling performance and life.

Implement safety procedures and maintain a clean organized work area.

Skills & Competencies

Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings GD&T.

Strong hands-on skills in tool room operations.

Knowledge of materials & heat treatment effects on tooling.

Ability to use measuring instruments (micrometers verniers gauges).

Understanding of press shop operations and metal forming processes.

Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.

Good team collaboration and communication skills.

Eligibility

ITI in Tool & Die / Fitter / Mechanical OR

Diploma in Mechanical / Production / Tool Design/Tool & Die Maker
