The Role

Working closely with the Head Chef and Senior Sous you will play a key role in delivering food to the highest standard while supporting the wider brigade.

You will:

  • Support the senior team in the day-to-day running of the kitchen
  • Contribute to the development of seasonal menus and dishes
  • Maintain consistency precision and execution across all services
  • Act as a key link between kitchen and front-of-house teams
  • Train mentor and support junior chefs
  • Assist with stock control organisation and kitchen structure
  • Uphold the highest standards of food safety hygiene and discipline

This is a hands-on role requiring both strong technical ability and leadership presence.

The Package

  • 38000 base salary
  • Generous tronc (c. 8000 per year)
  • Total earnings circa 46000
  • 48-hour contract across 5 days

The Ideal Candidate

  • Current Junior Sous Chef or strong Senior CDP ready to step up
  • Background in Michelin-star or high-Rosette kitchens
  • Strong technical ability and attention to detail
  • Confident supporting and helping lead a brigade
  • Calm organised and consistent under pressure
  • Ambitious and driven to progress within top-level kitchens
