The Financial Analyst - Cost Accounting supports product costing financial analysis and accounting control for the Engines business. Youll partner with Engineering Purchasing Manufacturing and Finance to drive cost transparency and operational decision-making across multiple manufacturing locations. Open to candidates across experience levels.
This role is hybrid-eligible with primary locations in Kohler WI and Milwaukee WI.
Specific Responsibilities:
Product Costing & Standards
Develop maintain and analyze standard costs using cross-functional inputs.
Review Bills of Material routings and material master data to ensure accurate product costs.
Create and maintain Accounting and Costing views in SAP for new and existing materials.
Load annual purchase standards tariffs freight and surcharges across assigned plants.
Cost Runs & Variance Analysis
Coordinate and execute annual standard cost runs (baseline purchase BOM change activity rate).
Analyze cost changes and communicate impacts to Finance and Operations leadership.
Financial Close & Reporting
Support monthly close activities including journal entries SAP data extraction and reconciliations.
Compile and distribute recurring reports covering inventory productivity and finished goods.
Inventory & Operational Support
Prepare global inventory status excess & obsolete and in-transit inventory reports.
Resolve invoice posting issues and support quality/blocked inventory reporting.
Cross-Functional & Administrative Support
Provide backup support across the finance team and assist with ad-hoc projects as assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field.
0-5 years of experience in cost accounting or manufacturing finance.
Foundational knowledge of cost accounting inventory accounting or variance analysis (coursework or internship counts).
Familiarity with ERP systems; SAP exposure a plus.
