Description

Position Purpose:

The Front-End Developer is responsible for designing building and maintaining high-quality responsive security-compliant user interfaces for web desktop and mobile applications working closely with application developers backend and native engineers to deliver a reliable performant user experience.

Essential Duties:

  • Develop deploy evaluate test enhance and maintain secure highly available cost-efficient fault-tolerant and scalable user interfaces for web mobile media and applications using React and TypeScript.
  • Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate frontend features with APIs native services and IPC layers.
  • Translate product requirements and technical specs into intuitive UI workflows and components.
  • Ensure UI performance reliability and maintainability across supported platforms.
  • Identify UI-level bottlenecks and implement optimizations.
  • Perform other related tasks as needed.


Qualifications

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of HTML CSS and modern layout systems and component styles.
  • Experience in integrating frontend applications with RESTful APIs and async data sources.
  • Self-starter who is self-directed and can work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Must be able to take ownership of tasks assigned and work independently within the scope of project assignments.
  • Good understanding of UI performance accessibility and cross-platform considerations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.

Requirements:

  • Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Must sign the Statement of Faith.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent education is required.
  • Bachelors degree in engineering computer science mathematics or equivalent desired.
  • A Charis Bible College graduate is preferred.
  • Must pass all required checks.

Experience:

  • 3-5 years experience in React and TypeScript for production UI development.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience focused on frontend UI engineering.
  • Demonstrated experience shipping React-based applications in production environments.
  • Experience developing cross-platform (e.g. desktop web mobile hybrid etc.) UIs in frameworks like Tauri are a strong plus.
  • Compensation is commensurate with experience.
