THE TEAM

The mission of the Global Logistics Department is to manage freight transportation into our Distribution Network.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Aritzia is growing and our Global Logistics team is growing with it. This is a unique opportunity to be part of the team responsible for ensuring the timely arrival of freight into our Distribution Network. As the Senior Specialist/Specialist Global Logistics Inbound (Sea Freight) you will support with managing the efficient flow of goods and related information between the point of origin and the point of consumption. THE ROLE

As the Senior Specialist/Specialist Global Logistics Inbound (Sea Freight) you will:

• Execute best-in-class end-to-end sea freight operations including volume planning carrier coordination and timely booking management

• Deliver a seamless logistics experience by managing in-transit tracking proactively handling exceptions and communicating updates to stakeholders

• Manage departmental administration ensuring seamless day-to-day business operations

• Proactively mitigate risks and impacts associated with daily operations minimizing potential disruption to the business

THE QUALIFICATIONS

The Senior Specialist/Specialist Global Logistics Inbound (Sea Freight) has:

• Proven skills education and/or applicable certifications in:

  • Sea freight experience importing from Trans Pacific and Trans Atlantic trade lanes into North America

  • Working with international service providers for both FCL and LCL bookings

  • Retail fashion logistics including speed-to-market high SKU variability and demand impacts to inbound transportation

  • Customs procedures and documentation

  • Practical knowledge and application of INCOTERMS

  • Microsoft Office Suiteincluding Exceland SharePoint

  • Experience with SAP considered an asset

• A commitment to learn and apply Aritzias Values and Business and People Leadership principles

• The ability to collaborate fluently with cross-functional partners

• A commitment to quality and investing in results that add value to the business

THE COMPENSATION

At Aritzia we provide market-leading compensation packages designed to reward impact through our pay-for-performance philosophy.

The range for roles at this level is $50000 - $150000 CAD per year. Total compensation may include base bonus and/or equity depending on the role which has the potential to be greater than this range.
