We are seeking a Lead Mechanic to join our team in Fond du Lac WI. In this role you will assist with maintenance and repairs to equipment and vehicles; asset tracking; replacing worn and defective parts re-assembling mechanical components changing oil spark plugs batteries filters etc.

The Role
Lead all efforts in the shop required to maintain repair and track vehicles and equipment
Work with and direct other mechanics to plan prepare and manage daily tasks
Assist with maintenance and repairs to equipment and vehicles replacing worn and defective parts re-assembling mechanical components changing oil spark plugs batteries filters etc.
Assist with tracking and assigning equipment and vehicles to field personnel
Coordinate assistance to field personnel for delivering replacing and repairing defective equipment
Repair and paint trailers and equipment as needed
Assist with picking up and delivering material to several office locations throughout Wisconsin
Maintain a clean and organized shop
Keep common needed supplies stocked
Occasional local travel within 2-3 hour range
Perform all other duties as requested
Requirements
3 years of mechanic work experience
Previous experience managing and directing others
Strong ability to work cohesively with others
Excellent knowledge of vehicle and equipment repair
Excellent mechanical skills
Ability to follow instructions and lead other mechanics
Ability to use power and hand tools
Ability to read service and repair manuals
Willingness to work in a wide variety of conditions including indoors outdoors small spaces assorted weather conditions etc.
Willingness to travel as needed within 2-3 hour range
Must provide a valid government-issued photo ID for verification; a drivers license is required if the role involves driving
Class A CDL required (or willingness to obtain)
Passing of all pre-employment requirements (MVR Background Check Drug Screen)
