Principal Accountabilities:
- Install dismantle relocate and set up machinery and heavy equipment in accordance with layout plans blueprints and schematics
- Perform precision alignment of motors pumps gearboxes and other rotating equipment using laser alignment tools or dial indicators
- Inspect maintain and repair mechanical systems including conveyors hydraulic systems gearboxes and bearings
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and conduct root cause analysis to minimize downtime and prevent recurrence
- Fabricate modify or repair components as needed using welding machining and various hand and power tools
- Collaborate with electricians welders and other maintenance personnel on cross-functional repairs installations and improvement projects
- Maintain accurate and timely records of work performed parts used and equipment status in SAP or other CMMS platforms
- Adhere to all safety protocols lockout/tagout procedures and participate in continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain a clean organized and safe work environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
- A high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat cold dust loud noise etc. with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above) and confined spaces
- Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending lifting up to 50lbs. kneeling climbing crawling and twisting with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to work overtime including weekends holidays or different shifts with advance notice
- Minimum of 35 years of experience working as a Mechanic or Millwright in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in rotating equipment hydraulic systems and pneumatic systems
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings blueprints schematics and technical manuals
- Skilled in the safe and effective use of hand tools power tools and precision measuring instruments
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SAP or other Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Laser alignment experience or certification
- Welding and fabrication skills including MIG TIG and Stick welding
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and controls
