A minimum of 1 (one) year of successful clerical experience
Proficient in the use of computers to include spreadsheet database and word processing applications
Knowledge of basic office procedures and equipment
Ability to communicate effectively by oral and written means

Performance Responsibilities:
Identifies concerns and seeks assistance from higher level personnel or management so that the study hall room can be an efficient and effective assignment for students
Coordinates provides and supervises instructional and behavioral activities for students assigned to study hall
Coordinates assignments and activities with classroom teachers when appropriate; provides tutorial assistance as needed and monitors students class work while in study hall
Assists students in assessing instructional assignments and developing strategies to managing time to complete assignments
Works with other school personnel to assist students in the development of techniques to foster efficient study habits
Assigns and oversees special assignments related to the students instructional goals
Maintains accurate and up-to-date student records as required
Communicates with teachers and administrators regarding students assignments and seeks appropriate instructional plans while supervising students
Attends training and workshops as appropriate to enhance job knowledge and skills
Receives and responds to inquiries concerns and complaints in areas of responsibility
Performs routine administrative/office tasks as required including but not limited to preparing reports and correspondence copying and filing documents answering the telephone sending and receiving faxes and e-mails entering and retrieving computer data
Performs other duties as assigned by the Superintendent and/or Principal
Ability to move around well enough to perform the duties of the position safely
Supervisory Responsibilities: The study hall monitor will collaborate with the school principal and administrative team on supervisory expectations of students on the study hall roster.
Working Conditions: Exposure to the following situations may range from remote to frequent based on circumstances and factors that may not be predictable.
