Summer 2026 Link Summer Aide Harding Avenue Elementary School

Montgomery County Public Schools in Virginia is accepting applications for a Link Summer Aide position that may be available at Harding Avenue Elementary School.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Summer Link Instructional Aide assists the Link program coordinator by working with elementary aged students on educational and enrichment activities. The aide works a flexible schedule in the summer months.

The hours of our summer program are from 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM.
The summer program runs for 8 weeks on Monday through Friday from June 1 - July 24.
The position allows the aide to work up to 29 hours per week.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to perform tasks requiring moderate physical strength
Ability to cooperate with other staff members
Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment
Dependability and punctuality required
Ability to respond to emergencies in support of students and school operations
Have the physical ability to repeatedly lift heavy objects (20 lbs.) as needed
Ability to support school functions and community activities as deemed necessary

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Possess strong communication organizational and interpersonal skills

Possess effective verbal and written communication skills
Possess the personal characteristics necessary for working effectively with students teachers and parents
Ability to be dependable and punctual

SALARY: $16.00 - $23.53 per hours; depending on experience

FLSA Status: Non exempt
