Personal Lines Insurance Assistant

Location: Garden City NY (Hybrid)
Schedule: Hybrid in-office / remote flexibility
Systems: AMS 360 Microsoft Excel
Salary: $50k-$60k hourly- Eligible for Overtime

Position Overview:
Our client an established insurance agency is seeking a detail-oriented Personal Lines Insurance Assistant to support their Personal Lines team. This role is heavily focused on back-end administrative work requiring strong organizational skills and advanced Excel proficiency. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining data accuracy supporting account managers and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide administrative support to the Personal Lines team
• Maintain and update client and policy data within AMS 360
• Manage and organize large datasets using Excel (tracking reporting auditing)
• Assist with policy processing documentation and internal workflows
• Prepare reports spreadsheets and internal documentation for the team
• Support renewal preparation and general account servicing tasks
• Ensure accuracy and compliance across all data entry and documentation
• Collaborate with account managers to streamline processes and improve efficiency

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in Personal Lines insurance required
• Strong working knowledge of AMS 360 highly preferred
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables VLOOKUPs data management)
• Experience supporting account managers or service teams is a plus
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication and ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Additional Preferences:

• New York insurance experience strongly preferred
• Must be commutable to Garden City NY for a hybrid schedule
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
